Description

Forge Cottages, located on Great Tey Chapel Road, is an early 19th-century range of four tenements. The cottages are constructed from red brick in Flemish bond and feature four windows on both the ground and first storeys. These windows are original four-pane casements with two-pane night vents, and they are topped with gauged window heads. There are two doors positioned at the north and south ends of the building. The roof is hipped and covered with peg tiles, and it has two red brick chimney stacks, each with four diagonal shafts.
