Description

Cob Cottage is a 15th-century house located in Great Tey. It is timber framed and has two storeys, featuring a gabled crosswing at the east end that jetties to the south. The crosswing consists of two bays with service doors that have deep four-centred arches. There is a fall of two bays with a chimney stack in the former cross entry. The roof is a crown-post design and is covered with peg tiles. Additionally, there is a dormer window on the south-west side, which is part of a 17th-century extension of the hall.
