Description
Pope's Hall is a 15th-century house located on Pope's Road in Chappel. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure with a former jettied design on the front ends of the crosswing. The building has an H-shaped plan and consists of two storeys with attics, topped with ridged and gabled roofs that are covered in peg tiles. The front door is centrally located on the east front, accompanied by a semi-hexagonal bay window from around 1700 on the north wing. Both gables of the crosswing are jettied at the tie-beams. There is an extension at the southwest of the plan, and all windows have been replaced with leaded casements. Inside, there is a staircase featuring a turned pine balustrade.
