Description

The granary to the east of Broom House is a 16th-century structure built of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring blue glazed headers. It has a square plan and stands two stories high, topped with a hipped roof covered in peg tiles. A moulded string runs along the building at first floor height, and the first floor is supported by deep-section oak joists. The upper walls were rebuilt in the 18th century, and the granary dates back to around 1600.
