Description

Hill House is a 16th-century house located on Swan Street, facing north-south. Originally timber framed and now plastered with ashlar markings, it has an L-shaped plan, with a wing extending eastwards from the southern end. A gault brick chimney is situated in the return of the plan. The windows are a mixture of early sash windows and casements, and the house features numerous Regency-era details, including lion masks and marginal glazing bars. The roofs are ridged, gabled, and covered in peg tiles.
