Description

Raynham House is a 16th-century house that features a timber frame with exposed plaster infill. The building has jowled posts and is sparsely wind-braced, designed in an H-plan layout across two storeys. The roofs are ridged and gabled, covered with peg tiles. At the rear of the south crosswing, there is a red brick chimney, and there are modern additions along the ground storey on the east side, which include shop windows that have been inserted. The south elevation features a central front door and modern casements on the first floor, while the west elevation is covered with black weatherboards.
