Description

This is a 15th-century timber-framed hall house, later adapted into a two-storey, three-bay building. A crosswing was added to the south end during the 17th century, creating an L-shaped plan. A further bay was added to the north end, likely around 1700. The main block has a ridged and gabled roof, while the crosswing features a gambrel roof. The timber frame is heavily constructed and wind-braced, supporting a side-purlin roof. The central bay originally contained an open hall, which was later divided laterally around 1575. The long range is thatched and has two eyebrow dormers, while the crosswing has a peg-tiled, fly-hipped roof. The windows are modern, consisting of leaded casements. The front elevation is a modern reconstruction.
