Description

Wellmans is a house located on Lamberts Road in Great Tey, dating from around 1700 or earlier. It features timber framing and is four bays long, consisting of one storey with attics. The building has undergone significant renovations, with modern windows and a ridged, gabled roof covered with machine-made tiles. The central front door on the ground floor has a wreathed oval date panel above it, which is dated 1700. There is a red brick chimney stack located centrally on the rear slope of the roof, along with some additions at the back of the house.
