Description

This is a 16th-century barn located to the south-east of Teybrook Farmhouse. It is timber framed and covered in black weatherboarding, featuring aisles on both the east and west sides. The roof is thatched, with a gabled design and two midstreys facing west; the midstry to the north-west is hipped. The frame has undergone significant repairs, with arch-braces present in the east aisle and a 'normal' assembly at the eaves. The scarfs are bladed, with one blade housed. The main posts are jowled, displaying long swollen jowls that are cut straight. The west wall may have originally been studded to full height, and the valleys of the roof are covered with peg tiles.
