Description
The Old Rectory is a building dating from the 16th century or earlier, with later additions. It features a complex design comprising a T-plan and an additional range that runs parallel to the wing, forming the front elevation. The original T-plan structure is timber-framed and plastered, topped with ridge gabled, peg-tiled roofs and three red brick chimneys. The end of the stem range has a hipped roof, while the frontal range is made of painted brick.
On the first storey, there are three small-paned hornless sash windows, with the central one being narrower. The ground storey has a central door topped with a glazed Regency-style leaf, set beneath an Arabesque porch with a hollow-conoid lead roof. Flanking the door are three-part sash windows with two mullions, featuring small panes in the central and side lights. The south elevation includes a semi-circular bow window with three pairs of 6/6 paned sashes.
