Description

The Barn is a 17th century barn with five bays aligned east-west. It is currently clad in corrugated iron and features one aisle on the south side, along with a Kentish styled midstrey to the north. The main-posts on the south side are older than those on the north side. The barn includes side-girts, roof collars, and purlins, which incorporate soot-caked rafters from an older house. Much of the timber used in the barn comes from this older house, including durns from former doors and top-plates with shutter-grooves.
