Description
The Red Lion Public House is a building dating from around 1600. It has five bays and two storeys, constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior. The roof is ridged and gabled, covered with peg-tiles. There are two chimney stacks at the ends and a third chimney stack positioned off-centre along the length of the building.
On the first storey, there is a range of four windows, which include a mix of sliding and casement styles. The ground storey features a full-length leaded flat verandah, beneath which are three semi-hexagonal bow windows with small paned sashes, some of which lack horns. There are also two front doors. Inside, the oaken frame is visible, particularly the joists of the first floor.
