Description

GREAT TEY BROOK ROAD 1. 5214 Granary north-west of Teybrook Farmhouse TL 82 SE 10/16 II GV 2. C16, early. Timber framed and of 2 storeys and 2 bays, aligned north-south with a long wall jetty to the east. Clad with tarred weatherboards and roofed with pegtiles on a ridged and gabled framing. Integral first-floor with binding-joists, common-joists with haunched tenons - after AD1510. Side-girt in west wall. Wind-braced side purlin roof and intruded attic floor. Windows, where they survive have diagonal mullions. Walls originally wind-braced on their outer faces.
