Description
The granary located north-west of Teybrook Farmhouse dates back to the early 16th century. It is a timber-framed structure with two storeys and two bays, oriented north-south, featuring a long wall jetty on the east side. The building is clad with tarred weatherboards and has a roof made of peg tiles, which is ridged and gabled. The first floor is integral, supported by binding-joists and common-joists with haunched tenons, a design that became common after 1510. The west wall includes a side-girt, and the roof is wind-braced with side purlins and an intruded attic floor. The surviving windows feature diagonal mullions, and the walls were originally wind-braced on their outer faces.
