Description

This barn, located 50 metres east of Polehanger Farmhouse, dates from the early to mid-16th century. It features a timber-framed construction with weatherboarding on a red brick plinth and has a clay tile roof. The barn has a five-bay plan and a double-rafter roof supported by clasped purlins and queen struts. The west elevation includes double cart doors that align with an outshot on the east elevation, as well as a two-light casement window with glazing bars.
