Description

This barn, located approximately 70 metres east-south-east of Beenham's Farmhouse, dates back to the early 16th century. It features a timber frame construction, is weatherboarded, and has an old tile gabled roof. The barn has a rectangular plan consisting of five framed bays, with a central midstrey made up of two framed bays. Inside, the frame is complete, showcasing queen post roof trusses, large knee and windbraces. The barn also has clasped purlins and principal rafters that reduce in size above the purlin level, with rafter holes visible at the foot of each rafter.
