Description
Fox Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the late 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill and an old tile gabled roof. The building has a rectangular plan consisting of three framed bays, along with small extensions on the left side and at the rear. It stands two storeys tall, with a chimney on each gable end topped with clay pots.
The south-facing road front has three bays and includes 2-light casement windows. The two outer windows on the first floor have small glazed gablets positioned above the eaves level. There is a 20th-century enclosed gabled entrance porch with a plain door and a window on each side. Inside, the timber frame is exposed, showcasing straight braces and windbraces.
