Description
Dawn Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 17th century that has been altered and extended in the late 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill and an old tile gabled roof, which is half hipped on the right side. The building has a rectangular plan consisting of three framed bays, with a gabled extension on the left.
The cottage is two storeys high and has a gable chimney on the left topped with clay pots. The entrance front faces west and is irregularly arranged. On the first floor, there are two 2-light windows, while the ground floor has three 2-light windows. A wide 12-panel entrance door is located between the second and third windows to the left of centre.
Inside, some of the timber frame is exposed, and there are plain joists on the ground floor. The left extension features false timbers.
