Description

WOKINGHAM ROSE STREET SU 8168 NW (South east side) 18/65 No.65 (Rose Cottage) (formerly listed as No.65) 2.10.69 G.V. II Cottage. Late C16, extended C17, altered mid C18 and late C20. Timber framed encased in painted brick on front, exposed at rear with brick infill. Old tile gabled roof, half hipped on east. Rectangular plan of 2 framed bays and one chimney at rear on extension. Rendered plinth, boxed eaves. 3 bay front. Sash windows with glazing bars, wide sliding sash with glazing bars on ground floor right hand. Centre 4 panelled C19 entrance door, top 2 panels glazed, under thin flat hood on small brackets. Interior:- Principal beams - with chamfers, some re used timbers.
