Description

Richmond Cottage is a late 15th-century hall house that has been altered in the early 20th century and is now used as a house. It features a timber frame with painted render infill and an old tiled gabled roof. The building has a rectangular plan consisting of two framed bays and stands two storeys high. The front facing Wiltshire Road has scattered 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars and a 20th-century entrance door on the right side. The timber frame is exposed, showcasing two large curved braces on the first floor of the left framed bay. Inside, much of the timber frame remains visible, including arched braces.
