Description

The boundary marker at the south west corner of No. 6 Wiltshire Road is an early 19th-century cast iron structure. It has a triangular plan with a sloping top and features raised lettering. The left side reads "WOKINGHAM BERKS," the right side states "WOKINGHAM WILTS," and the top is marked "WILDER." This marker formerly indicated the boundary between the county of Berkshire and the part of Wiltshire that included Wokingham until 1845. In the late 20th century, it was removed from its original position in Cross Street due to the construction of Mulberry Court, which altered the street's layout.
