Description
Foxleigh is a cottage dating from the 15th century, which has been altered and extended in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill, some of which is painted. The old tile gabled roof extends over small additions. The building has a rectangular plan consisting of four framed bays with extensions at both the front and rear. It is two storeys high and has a ridge chimney topped with a clay pot. The windows are 20th-century casements with glazing bars.
On the entrance front, which faces northeast, the left-hand section has the timber frame exposed on the first floor and features two 2-light windows. The ground floor is underbuilt in brick and includes a 3-light casement window alongside a pair of 20th-century glazed entrance doors on a lean-to return. The right-hand section has a catslide roof with an internal dormer window in the center and one small window at ground-floor level.
