Description

The Old Smithy is a cottage dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill and has an old tiled gabled roof. The building has a rectangular plan consisting of three framed bays, with an outshut at the rear. It stands two storeys high and has flanking chimneys. The front of the cottage has two bays and includes 20th-century casement windows, with a 20th-century entrance door located slightly to the left of centre, sheltered by a small gabled roof.
