Description
Coldharbour Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century that has been carefully restored in the late 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted render infill and a brick gable on the left, topped by a thatched gabled roof. The building has a rectangular plan consisting of two framed bays, with a small late 20th-century lean-to extension at the rear. It stands two storeys high and has flanking chimneys and a brick plinth. The entrance front has two bays with four-light casement windows, and a thatched and gabled porch is centrally located. The complete frame is exposed, showcasing large curved braces. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace, and much of the frame is exposed, displaying fine quality with shutter grooves remaining above most windows. The beams on the ground floor are chamfered with ox-tongue stops.
