Description

Pound House is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century and was extended in the 19th century, with alterations made in the late 20th century. The building features a mix of timber framing with painted render infill and painted brick, topped with old tile gabled roofs. It has a double depth plan with a rear extension and stands two storeys high. There is one chimney on the left side and another on the ridge to the right of the center. The extension includes some sash windows with glazing bars, while the older part of the house has 19th-century two and three-light casement windows on the road front. The entrance door, which is from the 20th century, is located on the right side and is set back in the 20th-century extension. Inside, most of the timber frame is exposed.
