Description

Thatch Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century. It has a timber frame with brick infill and a thatched gable roof. The building has a rectangular plan consisting of two framed bays, with a large extension added to the right in the late 20th century, which also features a thatched roof and false timbering. The cottage is one and a half storeys high, with a chimney projecting from the gable at the rear. The windows are irregular late 20th century leaded casements set within the timber frame. The entrance door is located to the right in the extension. Inside, most of the timber frame is visible, including queen post trusses with straight windbraces. The late 20th century extension does not have any special interest.
