Description

Pound Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century. It has a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with brown and red brick infill in the framing and weatherboard cladding on the left-hand end. The thatched roof extends down over pentice extensions on the sides and features decorative elements at the ridge. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of three framed bays with a central ridge stack. On the first floor, there are two horizontal sliding sash windows, while the ground floor has two larger casement windows and smaller casements in the extensions at either end. The entrance is marked by a central boarded door.
