Description
Borough Farm Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century, possibly incorporating elements from an earlier structure. It has a timber frame that is underbuilt in brick, with whitewashed brick infill to the exposed frame, which is mostly made of thin scantling. The roof is plain tiled and half-hipped. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of four framed bays, featuring a front ridge stack to the left of the center and an end stack to the right. There is a large curved brace on the first floor to the right. The windows are diamond-pane, wood-framed casements, with four on the first floor and three below. To the right of the center, there is a 20th-century studded door set in a gabled, half-open brick porch. Additionally, there is a pentice extension at the right end.
