Description

April Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century, with 20th-century extensions. It has a timber frame with a whitewashed brick base and exposed frame above, filled with whitewashed brick, and features a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of two framed bays, with a smoke bay at the left end and a brick chimney that has been inserted. The first floor on the left shows exposed bracing. There are two casement windows on each floor, with the lower windows situated beneath a tiled pentice course. A panelled door is located at the left end, sheltered by a gabled hood.
