Description
Goodgrove is a house dating from the early 16th century, which was remodelled in the early 19th century. It features a timber frame that is clad in colourwashed roughcast and is topped with a plain tiled roof, complete with raised gable end kneelers. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall, with a cross wing to the right and an end ridge stack to the left, along with additional stacks at the rear and right.
The windows are lancet leaded casements, with three on the first floor—two of which are three-light—and two three-light windows on the ground floor. There is a brick and half-timbered open gabled porch at the centre, which has a panelled door. The gable apex to the right features a raised oval panel. On the right-hand return front, there are three square leaded casement windows on the first floor and two windows below, with a central door beneath a shallow gabled porch hood.
Inside, the timber frame is mostly exposed in the ceilings, with some partition walls and deep brick fireplaces.
