Orchard Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It features a timber frame with exposed elements on the left-hand return front, while the front is clad in whitewashed brick below and tile hung above. The main posts are exposed on the right-hand return front. The cottage has plain tiled roofs and stands two storeys tall, with a tall central ridge stack that was originally located at the end of the rear wing.

On the first floor, there are two 3-light casement windows, and there are two windows below. A ribbed door is positioned at the right end. To the left, there is a three-bay cross wing with a front stack, casement windows, and diagonal bracing on the first floor. A pentice runs across the rear of the building.
