Description

Carters Croft and Welby Cottage is a house that dates back to the 17th century, with extensions added in the 20th century. The building features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill on the left side, brick underbuilding in the center and right, and tile hanging on the first floor of the left-hand return front. It has a plain tiled roof and stands two stories tall. There is a large 19th-century chimney stack on the left and smaller stacks on the right and at the rear. The house has four diamond-pane leaded casement windows on both floors and a planked door on the right end, along with additional doors on the left and right return fronts.
