Description
Morden Grange Cottages is a house that dates back to the 17th century. It has been extended and divided over time. The structure is timber framed, with 19th-century brick cladding on the lower part and club tile hanging above. It features a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys tall. There is a rebuilt 20th-century stack to the left of the centre. On the first floor, there are two windows, one of which is leaded, and on the ground floor, there are two additional windows. The house has 20th-century gabled porches on both the left and right sides.
The left-hand return front, which faces the street, has a plinth below and a plat band over the ground floor. It includes a three-light window with diamond panes on the ground floor, as well as windows on the first floor and attic. There are single-storey, hip-roofed extensions to the left and rear of the building. At the rear, some of the timber framing of modest scantling is exposed on the left-hand cottage, and there are two cambered head windows on the first floor to the right.
