Description
Waggoners Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, which was restored in the 20th century. It features a timber frame that is underbuilt in brick, with colourwashed render infill to the exposed framing of thin scantling above. The roof is plain tiled with tile hung gable ends. The cottage is one storey with attics and has four hipped roof diamond-pane leaded casement dormers, with the largest dormer located on the left. There is a crowstepped offset stack at the left end and a corbelled cross ridge stack on the right. The ends of the first floor have tension bracing. On the ground floor, there are four diamond-pane leaded casement windows, and the door is located to the left of centre within a wide shallow gabled open porch supported by braced rustic supports.
