Description

Oxenford Grange Farm House is a house that dates from the 17th century, with a 19th-century exterior and 20th-century extensions, possibly built on older foundations. The building is constructed of sandstone rubble with brick detailing around the windows and eaves cornice, topped with plain tiled roofs featuring brick gables and ashlar stacks. It has an L-shaped layout and is two storeys high with a cellar, featuring four stacks along the ridge plinth beneath corbelled tops.

The entrance front has a gable at the right end with a plinth below and a plat band above the ground floor. The roof has stone coping, and there is a square plaque in the gable. On the first floor, there is a two-light diamond mullion leaded casement window beneath a label moulding. The ground floor features a mullioned and transomed window with arched upper lights, also under a label moulding, and a 20th-century panelled door to the right under a flat hood. To the left, there is a 20th-century range with a pentice bay across the ground floor and three gabled dormers above.

On the rear elevation, there is a gable to the left with a four-light casement window with a cambered head on the first floor, which cuts through a canted brick string course. Below this is a five-light window with a cambered head. The right-hand range has a tall plinth moulding and a plat band at the eaves, with leaded casement windows and a cambered head door on the ground floor, along with a pentice extension to the left.
