Description

Oxenford Bridge is a bridge built around 1813. It is constructed from coursed sandstone, featuring brick and ashlar dressings, with the ashlar surface scored or chiseled. The bridge has three arches with pointed cutwaters that are offset over a plinth. Brick dressings are present at the edges of the arches. The ends of the bridge have octagonal piers on splayed approach walls. There are cast iron parapets that are approximately 3 feet high, adorned with oblong newel posts that are fluted beneath three roundels. Additionally, there are rectangular piers to the left and right of the center on each side of the bridge.
