Description

This is a house, originally built in the early 18th century, and subsequently extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. The house is constructed of whitewashed brick with plain tiled roofs. It is two storeys in height, with an attic to the left side under a flat roof, featuring a casement dormer window and a gable to the left end. A brick plat band runs over the ground floor and to the base of the parapet, partially obscuring the roof to the centre and right and laid over a former cornice. There are rear ridge stacks to the left of the centre, an end ridge stack to the right, and an end stack on the rear range to the left.

The original portion of the house has five bays, with 12-pane glazing bar sash windows arranged regularly. A panelled door sits to the left of the centre, with the top four panels glazed, set within a projecting surround with pseudo-pilasters on either side and a transome light above (Cedars Court). A four-bay extension is slightly set back to the left, with a gable to the left end. This extension has four sash windows on the first floor and a tripartite sash window under a segmental head on the ground floor to the right. A half-glazed door is located to the left end, within a recessed porch with a projecting surround, flanked by pseudo-pilasters and a traceried transome light above (Cedar House). A single-storey hipped roof extension is attached to the left end. A parallel range runs along the rear.
