Description

This is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with extensions added to the left and rear in the 20th century. It is timber-framed with whitewashed brick infill, and has brick extensions; the roofs are tiled, with machine tiles on the later additions. The cottage sits at an angle to the road, with the entrance now located in what was originally the rear elevation. It is two storeys high, with an end stack to the right, and additional stacks to the rear and left. The right side of the front elevation has one casement window on the first floor and two windows on the ground floor. A gabled bay, housing a single-story attic, projects forward from the junction of the original cottage and the left extension. A stable-style door is set within a pentice-roofed open porch in the centre, and a further pentice extension with a ground-floor casement window projects to the left. The garden front features a half-hipped bay projecting to the right, an extension with a hipped roof, and tile hanging on the first floor to the far right. Casement windows and an open porch are present to the left of centre.
