Description
Box Tree Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill and a thatched roof. The building has a three-bay frame and a lobby entry plan, rising to one and a half storeys. There is one dormer with thatch that extends around to the east, along with an end chimney to the south and a central ridge stack.
On the east elevation, there are 20th-century casements, including a 2-light window in the left bay, a boarded door located off-centre to the left under a thatched porch, a 2-light casement in the central bay beneath the dormer, and 1-2-1 light casements situated between the framing in the right-hand bay.
