Description
No. 9 Brightwalton Green is a 17th-century house featuring a timber frame that is rendered and topped with a half-hipped thatched roof. The building has a long rectangular plan consisting of four bays that run east to west. It is one and a half storeys high and has an end chimney on the east side, as well as a ridge chimney located one bay from the west. The north elevation includes three irregular two-light casement windows, while the south elevation has 20th-century metal casements, including a three-light casement on the left, a central door, and another three-light casement with a door to the right, all beneath a pentice. There is a small 19th-century cottage at right angles to the south and west, which is not of special interest.
