Description

No. 51 is a cottage located in Brightwalton Village, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of painted brick, with some timber framing on the first floor to the east. The cottage features a thatched, half-hipped roof and has a three-bay lobby entry plan, with an outshut to the west. It is one and a half storeys tall, with a central ridge stack and an end stack to the south. On the east elevation, there are two-light timber casements that flank a central boarded door, which is sheltered by a thatched hood.
