Description
Elm Cottage is a cottage dating to the 17th century, with a 19th-century extension and 20th-century alterations. It is built with a timber frame and brick, and has a hipped thatched roof. The building has a rectangular plan with a projection to the rear. It is one and a half storeys high, with three dormers in the thatch on the west side, and two ridge chimneys. The west elevation has a central 17th-century section flanked by 19th-century extensions to the left and right. Features include a two-light casement window to the left, a former shop window offset to the left, a boarded door offset to the right, a three-light casement window, and a glazed door to the right.
