Description
No. 28 Bell Street is a 17th-century house with a timber frame, featuring whitewashed brick and plaster infill. It has a thatched roof that is half-hipped on the left side. The building includes a brick chimney with grouped shafts located between the left bays. It is 1½ storeys tall and has three bays. The windows are irregularly arranged, consisting of 2 and 3-light casements, with the first-floor windows in thatch. The upper left window contains two old leaded lights, one of which has diamond leading. The other windows have wooden glazing bars, and the lower right window is a horizontal sliding sash. There is a 20th-century door situated between the right bays. The roof extends to the right over a narrow whitewashed brick extension, which has a board door.
