Description

No. 28 High Street is an office and optician's shop dating from the early to mid-19th century. The building features colourwashed render with off-set eaves, and the left gable is made of red brick. It has a slate roof and a rebuilt brick chimney on the right side. The structure is two storeys high and consists of two bays. On the ground floor, there are canted bay windows with barred sashes, which have four panes on the front. The first floor has four-pane sashes as well. The central door is topped with a rectangular fanlight and has a small wooden cornice hood supported by brackets. This building is included for its group value.
