Description

Yew Tree Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century with alterations and extensions from the 19th century. It is constructed of white-painted brick over a timber frame, with a thatched roof that is hipped at the ends and swept down over an outshot to the rear. The house follows a lobby entry plan, with extensions at both ends and a rear outshut. It has one and a half storeys, with two eaves dormers on the east side, where the thatch is swept round. Large, grouped central stacks are also present. The east elevation features a 3-light casement window in the extension to the left, and two 3-light casement windows with cambered heads flanking a central boarded door, which is sheltered by a 20th-century gabled porch.
