Description

Box Hedge Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with 20th-century alterations and extensions. It is timber-framed with brick infill and has a thatched roof, half-hipped to the east. The plan is a lobby entry with an outshut to the rear. The cottage is one and a half storeys high, with two dormers cut into the thatch, and a large central stack. The south elevation features three 20th-century casement windows flanking a central door, which is sheltered by an enclosed lean-to porch. A one-story, 20th-century tiled extension is located to the east.
