Description
The garden walls to the south of the churchyard, including a shed at the north end, date from the 18th and 19th centuries. They are constructed of brick, brick and flint, with stone copings and curved brick copings. The walls enclose a garden that is roughly rectangular, measuring 90 metres by 60 metres, and feature a shed built into the wall at the northeast corner. The height of the walls varies from 2 to 5 metres.
On the eastern elevation, there is a 35-metre section of flint broken into rectangles by brick bands, topped with a stone coping. This section includes a pair of square brick gate piers with stone bases and corniced caps that have ball finials, along with plain boarded gates. The wall steps back after 4 metres, with 5 metres of Flemish bond brickwork featuring piers at intervals, standing approximately 3 metres high, and a stone scroll at the junction. A pedestrian gate in wrought iron with dograils is located to the right, next to the end wall of the shed, which has a moulded brick dentilled cornice and verges to the gable.
The elevation facing Mount Lane consists of a wall made of red brick in Flemish bond with curved brick coping, standing about 2 metres high.
