Description

Downs Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with 20th-century additions. It is timber-framed with brick nogging and has a hipped thatched roof with a half-hip to the left side. A central chimney stack is present. The cottage is a single storey with an attic, and the roof slopes up to accommodate the attic windows. It is a lobby entrance type, with four windows to the left of the entrance door and one to the right. A central doorway has been blocked. There are four attic windows. All the windows are casements, some with leaded lights.
