Description
Westbrook House is a house dating from approximately 1700, with alterations likely made around 1905. It is constructed of plum brick with red dressings. The house is two storeys high with an attic, and has five bays, with the central three bays projecting forward and topped by a pediment. A central front door is sheltered by a 19th-century porch. The ground floor has cross windows on either side, while both floors have windows arranged in a cross shape. A blank arched panel sits centrally on the first floor, rising into the pediment. The projecting section is flanked by single bays featuring hipped rectangular bay windows on the ground floor and six-light mullioned and transomed windows on the first floor. The roof is half-hipped, with hipped dormers above the end bays. Chimneys are positioned to the left and right of the central projection. The interior includes a staircase, a fireplace, and an arched recess, all dating from around 1905.
