Description
The Barn is a house that was originally a barn, dating from the 16th century, with 20th-century alterations and an early 19th-century south wing. It features a timber frame with brick nogging and a half-hipped thatched roof, which has a stack on the left side. The building is one storey and has an attic, with the roof sweeping up over the attic windows. There are two framed bays with three windows on each storey, all of which are 20th-century casements with leaded lights. The right-hand gable end displays exposed crucks. The south wing has a brick facade with a hipped tile roof and stacks on both the right and left. The central door is framed by a doorcase with a reeded architrave and a rectangular fanlight, accompanied by a porch. There is one sash window on either side of the door on both storeys.
