Description
The Thatched Cottage is a house, possibly originally built as a barn, dating from the early 18th century. It has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The house is timber-framed with brick infill and a whitewashed roughcast plinth; the east gable is weatherboarded. It has a thatched roof and an off-centre 19th-century brick chimney. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. On the south side, there are 19th-century paired wooden casements to the ground floor of the right bays, and a paired casement with one leaded light on the first floor in the centre. There is an off-centre 20th-century door with a 20th-century lean-to porch extending over the right bays. The left gable end has paired barred wooden casements.
